Quality & Safety

At Tuk Tuk Toys, the safety of our customers s our top priority. Every toy we sell is selected to meet recognised safety standards before it reaches you and your child.

  • All toys we offer comply with the toy-safety requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), of which Armenia is a member.

    The key regulation is:

    TR CU 008/2011 "On the Safety of Toys" — the mandatory technical regulation covering all toys intended for children under 14 years of age across Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
     

    Under this regulation, toys must hold an EAC Certificate of Conformity (a full certificate, not merely a declaration) before they can be placed on the market. The certificate is issued by an accredited certification body after assessment of the product, and toys then carry the EAC conformity mark on the product, packaging and/or label.
     

    Where applicable, our products also meet TR CU 007/2011 "On the safety of products intended for children and adolescents."

  • The EAC assessment under TR CU 008/2011 checks that toys are safe across several dimensions:
     

    • Mechanical and physical safety — no sharp edges or points, no small parts that pose a choking hazard for the intended age group, and durable construction.
       

    • Chemical safety — limits on harmful substances and migration of heavy metals (e.g. lead, cadmium); use of non-toxic materials and paints.
       

    • Flammability — materials that meet flammability limits.
       

    • Hygiene and sanitary safety — materials safe for skin and mouth contact.
       

    • Labelling and marking — clear age guidance, warnings, manufacturer information and the EAC mark.

  • Each toy is marked with the appropriate minimum age recommendation and any necessary safety warnings (for example, "not suitable for children under 3 due to small parts").

    Please always follow the age guidance and warnings on the packaging.

  • Certification is supported by testing carried out in accredited laboratories, based on technical documentation, manufacturer test reports and, where required, on-site manufacturing assessment. This ensures consistent compliance with the chemical, mechanical and hygiene requirements above.
